Rev. Leroy Stewart, Assistant to the Pastor and "Son of the church"
Rev. Leroy Stewart, was born on July 31, 1953 in Delaplane, Virginia to Deacon William and the late Deaconess Ella Stewart. He is the third of seven children.

At the age of 14, Rev. Stewart was baptized and joined the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Rectortown, VA. He has been an active member of the church for more than 40 years. Participating in Sunday School, a former Sunday School Superintendent, former Moderator of the Northern VA Baptist Sunday School Union, serving on the Usher Board, Board of Christian Education, The Men of Mount Olive, The Gospel Tones, The Men’s Chorus and lending a helping hand with the Senior Citizen’s Ministry.

Rev. Stewart was ordained a Deacon in 1978, and served faithfully until he was called to preach the Gospel. In August 2002, he preached his initial sermon and was licensed to preach the Gospel by the Mount Olive Baptist Church, Rectortown, VA in October 2002. He was ordained as Assistant to the Pastor on July 26, 2008 and is currently a part of the Fauquier County Ministers Coalition.

Rev. Stewart obtained an Associates Degree in Theology from the Fredericksburg Bible Institute and Seminary, in 2006 and a Bachelors Degree in Religious Education from the Andersonville Theological Seminary, Camilla, GA in 2007.

Rev. Stewart is married to the former Nancy Grigsby and currently reside in Stephens City, VA. They have one son, David M. Stewart, a daughter-in-law Jessica and two grandsons Damien and Devin.
